“The One Eyed Poacher” in Eastern Fly Fishing Magazine

I had an order this past summer from outdoor writer King Montgomery for some landlock salmon flies for Grand Lake Stream in Maine. King wanted some “One Eyed Poachers”; a classic Maine streamer pattern developed by the “dean” of GLS, Bob Upham.¬† It’s a dandy fly, and a killer for not only landlocks, but brookies¬† and smallmouth as well. I was delighted to get a copy of the latest issue of Eastern Fly Fishing Magazine from King in the mail this past month, wherein he had an article on Grand Lake Stream, and there was my One Eyed Poacher on pg. 39! ¬† He kindly gave my website a mention – thank you King!!
